So this year for my birthday party I wanted to have a themed party. My friend Sasha suggested that I have a Tim Burton party and that's exactly what I did! And what party wouldn't be complete without an awesome cake? And me loving to bake decided to make my own birthday cake!
So here it is! My Tim Burton Cake!!!!
Complete with swirly cupcakes and a striped tablecloth! Here is a closer look at the cake
So I covered this cake with fondant (first time using fondant on a cake) and then I painted the character on with Wilton food color. Also around the outside I used royal frosting to create the stitches.
Painted on top are Skeleton Jack form Nightmare Before Christmas, the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, Edward Scissorhands and the Tree of the Dead from Sleepy Hollow.
Here is one more view of the cake from the side

Yay Rainbows!
So I figured I would start this blog off with one of my favorites. I have made these rainbow cupcakes several times and each time I make them they come out even better. These are the ones I made for New Year's Eve this year. They are not only rainbow on the top but inside as well!
Welcome to my new blog!
Here goes another try at having a blog. I'm going to try my best to post new things here on a regular basis.
I love baking! It is probably one of my favorite things to do. I also like experimenting and being creative with my baking. I figured a blog would be a great way to show the crazy things that I have made.
Post number one complete!
